The philosophy of the Health and Safety Education Training Center has been guided by the profession of Nursing. Nursing is a Science and an Art. The objective of nursing is to improve lives as front-line members of the health care delivery team to help individuals, families, groups, and communities to reach an optimum state of well-being by restoring, maintaining, and promoting their health. Nurses empower patients, guiding them toward health behaviors and support them in time of need. The Health and Safety Education Training Center philosophy provides an overall framework for general and specific nursing objectives as well as a foundation from which all aspects of our community of nursing students are developed.

Must be a CNA on the Oklahoma State Health Department Nurse Aide Registry
Anatomy and Physiology I AND II
Medical Terminology
Accuplacer Exam (WITHIN THE LAST THREE(3) YEARS)

All courses are offered through our Training Center. We will accept valid transcript for these courses taken with 5 years, with a passing grade of “B”.
Health and Safety Education Training Center’s Licensed Practical Nursing Program has provisional approval for year one by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Graduates of this state-approved program are eligible to apply to write the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Practical Nurses.
Applicants for Oklahoma licensure must meet all state and federal requirements to hold an Oklahoma license to practice nursing. In addition to completing a state-approved nursing education program that meets educational requirements and successfully passing the licensure examination, requirements include submission of an application for licensure, a criminal history records search, and evidence of citizenship or qualified alien status[59 O.S. §§567.5 & 567.6]. To be granted a license, an applicant must have the legal right to be in the United States (United States Code Chapter 8,Section 1621).
